Storytime at the Lebanon Public Library is our most popular library program! We will read stories, sing songs, play with puppets, make crafts, and more! This activity is a wonderful tool in developing your children’s life long love of reading. We follow the five Every Child Ready to Read tips that help kids prepare to read books all on their own: Reading, Talking, Singing, Writing, and Playing.
No registration is required, and all ages are welcome! Caregivers are encouraged to participate in our songs, action rhymes, and other activities to show the children we are never too old to enjoy a good story time!

Children’s Activity Room (bottom floor)
Preschool Pals is a story time and activity presented by the Lebanon Public Library. This educational program is geared for children 4 through 6 years of age ONLY. Each week, we will work with your child on a letter of the alphabet, their writing skills, their socializing abilities, and their listening skills with peers their own age. The stories and activities follow a theme which changes each week. Activities include teamwork games, practice with scissors and writing utensils that strengthen hands dexterity, and a craft they can take home with them.
Caregivers may drop off their child as long as the caregiver stays in the library. At the end of each Preschool Pals, the children can take home a packet of extra activities they can work on with their families.

Each week, we will work with your child on a letter of the alphabet, their writing skills, their socializing abilities, and their listening skills with peers their own age. The stories and activities follow a theme which changes each week. Activities include teamwork games, practice with scissors and writing utensils that strengthen hands dexterity, and a craft they can take home with them.
Caregivers may drop off their child as long as the caregiver stays in the library. At the end of each Preschool Pals, the children can take home a packet of extra activities they can work on with their families.

In this presentation, you will hear from Pascal Fettig, President and CEO, and Katie Pollock, Senior VP/Attorney of Mental Health America of Boone County.Their work focuses on community-based mental health education, early identification, and strengthening local systems of support for children, families, and adults. They work alongside schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to improve awareness and reduce stigma surrounding mental health. There will be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the program.
